IMHO, of course, but in the first Nio there are almost the most uninteresting bosses in soulslices ever – both visually and in terms of gameplay. Well, they just can’t stand any comparison with Sauces/Bloodborn/Sekiro.

In the same Sekiro, the Owl, the Demon of Hate and Isshin go in a row – and everyone feels completely different in battle. All bosses in Nio feel the same, they don’t have interesting movesets or attacks, they’re difficult not because you have to learn the patterns exactly and not make mistakes. It’s just that almost everyone has one-shot attacks (or, conventionally, one-shot attacks), and a wagon of health – and the whole difficulty is that there is a risk of making one single mistake, getting hit by a bomb and flying to the fire. It’s the same with the visuals – if you discard five hundred different, but identical ninjas/samurai, then you’ll be left with a few so-so designed devils.

Personally, I only remember Onryoki – he is very “sauce-based”, and even with two phases (this is a rarity in Nio), he actually sold the game to me. But after that I didn’t get any supplements. So I’m curious – do you have a boss in Nio that you particularly remember and liked??
