When I was just a little boy, I ran home from school and plunged deeper and deeper into the world of Albion in the hope that my world would acquire such colors, but everything turned out a little differently.
Despite this, every time I return to this project exclusively with warm feelings. Today I want to show you how animals and plants enliven this project from the English studio Lionhead Studio and how all these maps converge from my point of view.
In general, looking at the map of Albion, we can divide the world into 2 parts: mainland and island, on which, logically, different plants will grow. It’s also worth noting that I won’t be reviewing absolutely every plant in this game, since many of them don’t stand out or repeat themselves.
Oakvale and what’s nearby
Let’s start, probably, with the starting Loki, https://fitzdarescasino.co.uk/games/ the village of the main character – Oakvale. From the name we can get the following information: Oak – oak, Vail – valley, so what does it mean? Let’s go in order. In addition to absolutely strange characters with hypertrophied arms and heads, we have quite interesting vegetation, as I understand it, of medieval England. Since the landscapes are reminiscent of England, I think it will be quite interesting to learn about plants and their importance in their culture. For example, Oakvale is rich not only in oak trees, but also in birch trees, which in ancient England had several meanings: birches marked the border between worlds and were considered a tree capable of protecting against evil spirits. Quite funny, considering that in this world there are fantasy creatures at every turn: werewolves, nymphs, banshees, pixies, trolls, hobbies and much more.
So, back to the vegetation of Oakvale: Ornamental poppy.
This plant grows in many places of this project for a reason, because its roots go deep into history. During the First World War, poppies became the only plant that grew on the battlefields, in places where blood was shed. The bright red color of the poppy symbolizes bloody wars, and the black center symbolizes the grief of those who have lost loved ones. And this is quite interesting information, which opens up the game for us from the other side, since during the passage we really almost all the time wage war with opponents, be they mythical creatures or people.
Oak: In the Oakvale location, the oak tree has almost a city-forming significance, since it grows in the center of this small town, as if symbolizing English beliefs, because it is a symbol of protection, strength and survival. If we look at the lore of the game *Spoiler alert*, Oakvale was actually able to recover after the fall, supporting the theory that the oak tree is indeed a symbol of this city.
Common dandelion: the same plant as in all CIS countries. I’m sure you’ve met him more than once. And even the English sign is somewhat similar to ours. You need to find a stem with a white cap, whisper to it about your dream and blow on it so that the seeds scatter
Perennial flax, or something similar to its plant: I saw it only once, and even then in a flower pot.
